Thank you to our veterans!

A big thank you all veterans, past and present who fight  daily for my and my family’s freedoms and makes this a great country to live in!!

My mom and Randy were in town this weekend, we had a nice visit. Saturday at Nola’s, Sunday mom and randy took Kayley out to Randalls and Chris and I went and saw Angels and Demons.Really good movie!   Today we went out to breakfast and then we took mom back to the airport (randy flew in and out of dayton  b/c he had a credit on AirTran) Kayley gets so mad at my mom for leaving that she won’t ever tell her goodbye!  Mom is used to this by now so it doesnt hurt her feelings, but we thought since she’ll see my mom in 2 weeks when we go to disney she would be better, but no such luck!

The quarter auction is the first Thursday of June!  Let me know if you can come!

For some reason, my video slideshow of my June workshops didn’t post, so I’m posting again. The tinkering workshop is June 19th, the moon doggie workshop is the 21st.  Full details are on my website, www.nikkid.myctmh.com under Calendar.

Have a good week everyone! I have lots of things to make for the quarter auction, so I should have lots of posts this week!

I can see!

My surgery yesterday went ok!  I have to admit it was a bit traumatic for me!  My valium didn’t kick in so I was pretty alert during the whole thing.  It was quick, they took me back at 9 AM, and we pulled off 275 at our exit at 9:30!  It certainly felt like a long time though!

My eyes still hurt a bit and are very dry! But I would do it again! I could read the 20/20 line today at my appt and I was able to drive myself!

Kayley was sick this week with an ear infection and nose bleeds.  She’s doing better now but we had a rough couple of days.

Not too much CTMH stuff this week, but I did manage to get a card made for Ray and Jen for baby AJ.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend. I need to give my eyes a bit of a rest, my eyesight is hazy and its hard to see the computer for long periods of time!

Getting ready for the quarter auction!

from nikki's iphone 030 from nikki's iphone 029 Tonight I spent time getting items ready for the quarter auction tomorrow night!  attached is a picture of one of the items up for auction tomorrow!  I won a packet at the Tahoe from my director, from a workshop she did.

Today didn’t start out that great, on the way to work the car in front of me hit a deer. It just clipped it but the deer flipped up in the air and then was flipping all around on the highway trying to get up.  It was so sad, I cried the whole way to work!  I keep seeing it in my head.  I hate it.

Picked up eye drops today that I have to start to start taking tonight and then next week I have to start doing some more drops in preperation for my eye surgery.

We’ll see how tomorrow goes at the quarter auction! I hope my items are a hit!  from nikki's iphone 028

Busy day!

Well I didn’t do anything CTMH today, even though I should have!  Kayley and I planted my garden!  Chris worked on something for my grape plant to grow on, its three years old now and I’m hoping we’ll get grapes this year.  Guess we’ll see.  We also planted tomatoes, watermelon, pumpkin, garlic, basil, peppers, strawberries, corn, cucumbers, zucchini and potatoes.  Some from seeds, some from plants.  Kayley looked all night to see if anything was growing yet!

Here are some pics of us in the garden.  I also made a slideshow of my England Scrapbook.  It’s only the pictures I actually scrapbooked, the whole second half of the album are pictures only and pamphlets from the trip!

Now off to start another week! Have a good week everyone!  I’ll be busy getting products ready for the Quarter Auction on Thursday night.

Big Decision!

Well I made a big decision yesterday!  I am going to get Lasik surgery!  My Wyoming pay is coming in one large check which will make a nice down payment.  I am so tired of dealing with glasses and contacts.  So I decided to go for it.  I worked it out in my personal budget so I’m pretty excited! So May 15th will be the date!  Based on my and Chris’ schedule it was the only date I could to it before July. I was afraid I’d lose my nerve if I didn’t do it soon! The thought of my eye getting cut open is a little freaky!  Everyone I know that had it done says it was the best money they ever spent.  We aren’t sure yet if Chris is a candidate, his eyes are still changing he thinks.  But he has a yearly eye exam on Friday so maybe we’ll find out on Friday!  Not sure he’s interested in it, but with how thick his glasses can be hopefully one day he’ll get able to get it done!

We had a lazy day today.  Kayley was short on sleep this week for multiple reasons so we had a bit of a difficult day.  Hopefully tomorrow will be better!  Today I finished Teresa’s wedding album, which was nice to be able to say I was completed!  I’m going to try and attach the slideshow of it and of pictures from the team  retreat in Tahoe.
