some items for the holiday bazaar!
I participated in Wyoming’s Holiday Bazaar this morning. Here are some of my projects. Didn’t sell as much as I would have liked, but at least I have some gifts already made. :)
These little items have candy in them. I thought they would make good teacher gifts, coworker gifts or for the mailman, etc. I did make a larger purse and put 2 test tubes in it as well.
This is one of our linen gift bags which I stamped first and colored with our alcohol markers.
This is one of our my creations star, covered with some of our sparkle and shine paper.
This is one of our my creations frames. The paper and chipboard is from the kit last year. The flowers were made with the Artiste cartridge.
This is a canvas layout with our Frosted paper pack with some Petal cardstock. The overlay was cut with the Artbooking cartridge and the snowflakes on the white side are the negative space images from the overlay.
These are our clear pillow boxes, filled with garland. The stamp set is from the November stamp of the month with Ruby ink and cardstock.
You can purchase many of these items on my website at nikkid.ctmh.com.

sparkle and shine layouts
I got some crafting done today and did my club layouts for this week with the Sparkle and Shine Workshop on the go.
This is the workshop on the go layout. The shapes are cut from the Art Philosophy cartridge and stamped with the stamp set that comes with the kit. Also the Sparkle and Shine Assortment and The sparkle flurishes. To purchase this kit to make this layout for yourself, click here: Sparkle and Shine WOTG
This is the second club layout. The second layout is
Make it From Your Heart Volume 1. The overlay is from the Artbooking Cartridge. Also using the Sparkle and Shine Compliments.
I made this tray with Sparkle and Shine with the compliments and assortment as well.
Lastly, I made my daughters party invitations. She is having a mystery party, so using the Artbooking cartridge I made these file folder cards with a folder on the inside to put the guest’s character page. The inside page with the polka dots is where the party information went- and the guest’s name put on the flap of the folder.
You can purchase all the Sparkle and Shine items here: Sparkle and Shine

babycakes baby announcement for frame
I worked on this project tonight. It didn’t come out as well as I had hoped, but I don’t think it came out too horribly! I will be putting it in a 8 X 10 frame.
I took my son’s full name out for privacy reasons, but I think you can get the idea.
I am thinking of opening these up for orders-probably should make a couple more. If anyone is interested let me know!

making a fabric flower
Have you seen our new Base and Bling Jewelry line? There are lots of ways to make the fabric flowers (with fabric that matches our paper lines!) but below I have done a tutorial on making a fabric flower out of 4 circles.
I started with the following items: The clip base, our Chantilly textiles, Base and Bling adhesive dots and strips, Base and Bling pink jewels.
For this project, I started with 3 sizes of circles: 3 inch (pink), 2 inch (yellow) and one inch (green). 4 circles of each. I have tried multiple different ways to cut the circles. Some suggested Wonder Under from the fabric store and then cut with the cricut. That did not work for me. I ended up having to cut a square a little larger than the size circle I wanted and then hand cut the circle.
Starting with the pink circles, I took one, folded in half and used the double sided adhesive strips.
Then, another piece of adhesive strip and fold in half again
I repeated these steps with the remaining three circles. I ended up with 4 “petals" which when placed together makes a circle.
I repeated this process with the yellow and green circles.
I then ended up with my base, and the 3 flowers. I placed an adhesive dot on the clip base (the part that is pink, in this picture I have not taken off the covering over the adhesive)
I then placed the pieces of the pink flower on the base. I lined up the 4 corners so they would meet in the middle.
Here is the back. I then trimmed the petals so no petals were longer than the rest.
I repeated the process with the yellow and green petals onto an adhesive dot. I was then able to trim those as well before layering on the clip on top of the pink flower
After putting the green flower on, I used some Base and Bling to add to it.
Here is the finished clip
Over the weekend I will do a video tutorial for a different type of fabric flower and making a headband. Come back this weekend! If you try this out, please post a comment and let me know how it went!
